We are made from water, 

We come from water,

We can’t survive without water,

My name is Paulii, and from an early age, I've been engaged in various environmental initiatives. Today, through my art, I am echoing a story that is vital to our existence—the narrative of the most precious resource of all: WATER.

The shrinking supply of fresh water across the globe is an undeniable reality. I stand as a witness of a generation that experiences the direct impacts of the industrial revolution on our planet. Bodies of water are drying, and once pristine lands are now marred with pollution, resulting in a compromised and dwindling water supply. This scarcity not only affects our ecosystems but also places the most vulnerable members of society in an almost impossible struggle for survival due to the lack of potable water.

Based in London, a city known for its rainy weather, I find myself in a peculiar juxtaposition. Despite this reputation, the recent severe droughts across several parts of the UK have birthed what feels like a "False Autumn," a climatic anomaly that threatens wildlife and food supplies. The irony of this situation in a region traditionally associated with abundant rainfall underscores the urgency of our global water crisis.

The significance of water transcends mere sustenance—it is entwined with our very being. Our bodies are predominantly water; our journey from inception to birth occurs within water, and even before we inhale our first breath of air, we are surrounded by it. Our survival, both as individuals and as a species, hinges on this indispensable element—water.

As an artist, I feel a deep responsibility to depict these pressing environmental issues through my work. I aim to engage viewers, stirring emotions and spurring conversations about the urgency of preserving this life-sustaining resource. Through my art, I endeavor to create a visual experience that not only captivates but serves as a call to action.

We, as a collective society, need to acknowledge the critical importance of water and take collective action to preserve it. It is no longer a choice but an urgent necessity. Our planet's health and our own existence depend on the measures we take today to safeguard this fundamental resource.
